The Surgeons

Different hands. The same eye.

Dr. Masoud Saman, Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon — Saman MD facial plastic surgery, New York

He came from reconstruction. The face never let him go.

Dr. Masoud Saman

Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon

I was trained to rebuild faces after cancer took them. That changes how you approach a face. You learn that nothing is decorative. Everything is structural. Everything matters. Every millimeter.

His practice is built around a small number of procedures performed at a level that rewards a long study. He returns to Europe regularly to teach and learn alongside the surgeons reshaping the field.

He does not chase volume. He chooses cases where the work matters and the outcome can carry.

In this world of fast medicine, efficiency has become the standard. Somewhere in that acceleration, the conversation got shorter. I chose not to follow.

Surgeons travel to New York to train alongside Dr. Saman.

A practice held to the standards of both the American and European Academies of Facial Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Saman co-founded Chance to Smile in 2007, providing pro bono reconstructive surgery for underserved patients each year.

Dr. Nigar Ahmedli, Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon — Saman MD facial plastic surgery, New York

She studied art before she studied surgery. It still shows.

Dr. Nigar Ahmedli

Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon

Dr. Ahmedli came to facial surgery through neuroscience and art history at Brown, where she graduated magna cum laude. The two disciplines never quite separated.

Her work is patient and quiet. Faces that look like themselves, only resolved. She approaches each consultation as a conversation, not a sale.

She trained in Otolaryngology at Montefiore and in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in upstate New York. She held the Division Director role at Albert Einstein/Montefiore before joining the practice.

Every person who walks through our doors is already beautiful. Our job is alignment, not alteration.
