A hairline that does not announce itself, because it never left.
Hair Transplant in New York
What it unlocks
Hair loss is rarely only about hair. It changes how the face is framed, how old it reads, how the person in the mirror matches the one in your memory. A transplant, done well, is not an addition. It is a restoration of something that was already yours.
Our approach
Our surgeons perform both FUE and FUT. The right technique is the one your scalp, your donor supply, and your goals call for, not a single method applied to everyone. The hairline is the part that fails most often in lesser hands, so our work begins from the face, not the forehead: a line designed to look like one you could have always had, and to still look right in thirty years.
Beauty is not something added. It is something uncovered, already present, waiting for someone to see it clearly.

Questions patients ask
Am I a candidate for a hair transplant?
The best candidates have a stable or predictable pattern of loss and a healthy donor area at the back and sides of the scalp. Age, the cause of loss, and family history all matter. Younger patients with rapidly changing loss are sometimes better served by treating medically first and transplanting later, so the result still looks right as loss continues elsewhere. Candidacy is assessed honestly in consultation.
FUE or FUT, which is better?
Neither is universally better. FUE leaves no linear scar and suits shorter hairstyles and smaller sessions. FUT can yield more grafts in one sitting and preserves more of the donor supply over a lifetime of potential procedures. The decision depends on your donor area, the number of grafts needed, and how you wear your hair.
Will the result look natural?
A natural result is a design problem before it is a technical one. The hairline must suit the age and shape of the face, the angles must match the native hair, and the density must be believable. This is where experience separates outcomes. Our approach designs the hairline from the face outward.
Does a hair transplant leave a scar?
FUE leaves tiny dot scars that are not visible to the eye once healed, even at short lengths. FUT leaves a single fine line in the donor area that is concealed by the hair above it. Neither is visible in ordinary life when performed well.
What to expect
The consultation
We assess the pattern and stability of loss, the quality and density of the donor area, and whether the timing is right. Not everyone should transplant today; some should treat and wait. We will tell you which you are.
The surgery
Performed in our AAAASF-accredited operating suite under local anesthesia, comfortably, in a single day. Grafts are placed by angle and direction to match the surrounding hair.
Recovery
Most patients return to non-physical work within a few days. Transplanted hairs shed in the first weeks; this is expected. New growth begins around three to four months, and the result matures over twelve to fifteen months.
Frequently asked questions
When will I see results, and how long do they last?
Transplanted follicles shed within the first few weeks, then regrow starting around three to four months. The full result matures over roughly a year. Transplanted hair is taken from areas resistant to the hormone that causes pattern loss, so it is generally permanent. Hair elsewhere on the scalp can continue to thin, which is why a long-term plan matters.
Can a transplant be combined with non-surgical treatment?
Often, yes, and frequently it should be. Medical and regenerative treatments help preserve the native hair around the transplanted grafts, protecting the overall result as time passes. See our page on non-surgical hair restoration.
