Patient Communication

By providing your contact information, you consent to being contacted by our office via phone, text message, and email for purposes related to your care, scheduling, and follow-up. Standard message and data rates may apply.

Scheduling Adjustments

Due to the nature of a medical practice, unforeseen situations may occasionally require us to adjust appointment times or reschedule patients. While we make every effort to avoid these changes and to notify you well in advance, such adjustments may cause inconvenience. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility when these rare instances occur.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not permitted in the Saman Facial Plastic Surgery at any time.

Appointments

In order to provide the best possible service to our patients, we request that you arrive in plenty of time for your appointment. We suggest that you arrive 15 minutes early for a “New” patient visit (to allow time to complete registration paperwork), and 10 minutes early for all other visits.

Please note, there will be a $100 charge for no-shows and appointments canceled less than 24 hours prior to the appointment date and time. Please cancel at least 48 hours prior to the day of the appointment. One reschedule is allowed without penalty.

Financial Policy

Fees

All fees for cosmetic surgery are payable in advance by cash, cashier's check, money order, or credit card. We accept VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, as well as third-party financing such as Patient Fi and CareCredit for your convenience. Financing is subject to a 4% convenience fee. We do not accept personal checks.

Anesthesia fees are payable separately to the anesthesiologist.

Cosmetic Surgery

Payment for cosmetic surgery is customarily made at least four weeks before the scheduled surgery. There are generally six financial components to the cost of a surgery:

  1. Surgeon’s professional fee

  2. Operating room fee, which includes use of operating facility, supplies, technology and equipment, nurses and scrub techs

  3. Anesthesiologist’s fee (if applicable)

  4. Laboratory fees (for required blood and EKG tests before surgery)

  5. Special services, which are rarely indicated (i.e., pathology and/or radiology)

  6. Special supplies (i.e., implants, medications, implantable devices, garments, injectables)

Insurance

We are a fee-for-service facility. We do not process or submit insurance claims.

Our policy on insurance company billing and payment is summarized below:

• Our office will not bill insurance for any cosmetic procedure performed.
• The patient is ultimately responsible for all professional services performed.

Please see Irrevocable Non-Assignment Consent for further information.

Consultation Fee (collected when the appointment is made)

Please note: By scheduling an appointment, you acknowledge and agree to our consultation fee, refund, communication, and cancellation policies. These policies are designed to ensure clarity and fairness for all patients.

In-person consultations
Dr. Saman: $500
Associate Physician: $150

Virtual consultations
Dr. Saman: $300
Associate Physician: $100

The consultation fee is for a one-time visitation (in-person or virtual) with Dr. Saman or Associate Physician. Please ensure you come prepared with your questions, inspiration photographs, and all necessary documentation, including operative notes and photos if applicable. After the consult, additional questions may be submitted via our App portal. If you wish to have a repeat consultation for the same issue, a repeat consult fee will need to be processed at 50% of the initial fee.

Consultation fee is non-refundable after consultation has been conducted. Consultation is not a guarantee that surgery/procedure will be accepted or planned.

Patients will also be required to place a scheduling deposit when making appointments with our injection specialists and/or medical aesthetician. In the event that you cannot make your scheduled appointment, please contact us to cancel within two (2) business days prior to your scheduled appointment in order to receive a refund of your deposit. Otherwise, your deposit will be donated toward Dr. Saman's medical missions and philanthropic projects.

Credit Card Authorization

For the convenience of our patients, product purchases and payment for services may be facilitated over the telephone. You have the option of using our secure payment processing on our website SamanMD.com, if you prefer. Charges for these transactions will be made to the credit card provided by the patient. You will be advised of the amount charged at the time of your purchase; however, please understand that there may be additional fees for packaging, handling, shipping, or postage.

Refund Processing Fee Policy

If a patient requests a refund for a payment made by credit card or third-party financing, a processing fee of 4% will be deducted from the refunded amount. This fee reflects the non-refundable charges imposed by credit card companies and financing platforms, which our practice absorbs at the time of both the initial transaction and the refund. These fees are not returned to us by the payment processors, even if the full transaction is reversed.

Refunds for payments made by cash or check will be issued by company check within 4 to 6 weeks.

We appreciate your understanding and encourage patients to consider this before initiating payment or requesting cancellation.

Cancellation Policy

Availability for appointments is very competitive. In the event that you cannot make your scheduled appointment, please contact us to cancel within two (2) business days prior to your scheduled appointment. Any less notice will result in a loss of your scheduling deposit.

Surgery

A consultation with your surgeon is required before surgery can be scheduled. There are no exceptions to this rule. All fee quotes are valid for two (2) months from the date of the initial consultation. Once an estimate is expired, you may need repeat consultation and/or change in pricing.

It is important to understand that there will likely be certain additional costs (i.e., prescription medications, outside laboratory tests, postoperative supplies, and materials), which are not included in the surgical fee.

Scheduling Surgery

A surgical deposit of 25% of surgical fee is required before surgery scheduling can be finalized and placed on the surgery calendar. This fee is refundable if surgery is canceled thirty (30) days or more from the scheduled day of surgery. If surgery is scheduled within 30 days of deposit, the deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. THE SURGICAL DATE MAY BE CHANGED ONLY ONCE WITHOUT PENALTY.

The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than fourteen (14) days from the time of surgery.

Revision Policy

As with all surgical procedures, cosmetic surgery involves certain risks, limitations, and the possibility of complications. We seek to obtain the best possible surgical result, but there is no absolute guarantee or warranty as to the final result that may be achieved. Surgical fees are paid for the performance of surgery and not for the realization of an exact anticipated result. Although unusual, revisionary surgery is sometimes necessary. In our experience, this occurs in less than 5% of patients. If it is determined that revision surgery is necessary within the first year following the original surgery, the following policies will apply:

(a) Each case is individualized to decide if any additional professional fees are appropriate.
(b) Patients will be fully responsible for all “support costs” (operating room facilities, anesthesiologist, laboratory fees, pathology fees, implants, supplies, etc.).
(c) Surgical fee does not include incidental or unanticipated costs such as overnight stays (voluntary or otherwise), hospitalization or return to the operating room in cases of emergency or complication.

At Saman Facial Plastic Surgery, we are committed to delivering the highest standard of aesthetic outcomes and patient satisfaction. In certain cases, patients may inquire about a second procedure following their initial surgery. It is important to distinguish between Revision Surgery and Additional Refinement:

Revision Surgery
A revision is considered when there is a functional issue, complication, or an unintended result stemming from the initial surgery. This may include anatomical irregularities, healing abnormalities, or outcomes that clearly fall outside the intended surgical plan. If deemed appropriate, revision procedures are typically performed at no additional surgeon’s fee, though anesthesia and facility fees may apply.

Additional Refinement (Stage II Procedure)
An additional refinement refers to a secondary, elective procedure requested by the patient after full healing has occurred, in cases where the initial goals of improvement have been met, but the patient wishes to further enhance or fine-tune certain aesthetic elements. This is not a correction of a complication, but a Stage II enhancement—a natural part of the aesthetic journey for some individuals.
Because this type of procedure reflects a new elective goal rather than correction of a problem, a surgeon’s fee will apply, along with standard facility and anesthesia costs.

All refinement procedures are discussed and scheduled at the discretion of Dr. Saman or Associate Physician following appropriate assessment and a sufficient healing period.
