Dr. Ahmedli was born in Baku, Azerbaijan while it was part of the Soviet Union. At age 5, she and her family moved to Los Angeles, where she spent her childhood.
She attended Brown University as part of the prestigious Program in Liberal Medical Education, which combines undergraduate studies and medical school with direct admission from high school. She studied Neuroscience and art history in college, graduating magna cum laude. She graduated from medical school with honors as part of Alpha Omega Alpha. She then completed a residency in Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City followed by a competitive fellowship in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in upstate New York.
